Mindset: Shifting Your Perspective

Introduction

World-renowned poet and activist, Maya Angelou, once said "I can be changed by what happens to me, but I refuse to be reduced by it." This quote beautifully represents the power of self. It gives us permission to acknowledge how life's blows could potentially impact us, while still having the strength to not be damaged because of it.

This shift in our perspective is the key to reclaiming our freedom. No longer will we be the consequence of what happens to us, but rather an example of someone who rose above it. And now that we've done the outer work and established some non-negotiables, we can begin focusing on reframing our minds.

Faith and Spirituality

This category is the first that comes to mind when thinking about my mental well-being and what part of my inner self has been the most influential in regulating that. Over time, I've discovered the importance of having an established belief in a higher power. This may look differently for everyone, but what remains consistent is love. Whether you see God as a man, woman, or genderless entity, love is always the driving force behind that spiritual relationship. This encourages us to organically apply love to every situation, which may require you to step outside of yourself at times.

Our ego, our pride, and our fear are all typically the catalysts behind how we choose to respond to situations that make us uncomfortable. But if we're able to recognize that, strip those feelings of their authority, and replace them with love, we've mastered the art of shifting our perspective.

Moreover, love is our first language, the universal force that binds us together. It transcends barriers and connects us on a profound level, allowing us to communicate not just through words but through actions, intentions, and energies. When we embrace love as our primary form of communication, we open ourselves up to deeper connections and a more meaningful existence. To give love is to know love and by nurturing this love within ourselves and extending it to others, we create a ripple effect that fosters compassion, understanding, and unity to those around us. All in all, my faith and spirituality heavily influence my perspective. I've now inherited this innate ability to find the blessing in every situation, bringing me so much internal peace because of this powerful gift.

Signs and Intuition

The true hierarchical system of the human race places women at the top. We were given these distinctive abilities that literally disrupt time and space. One being childbirth; a practice that contributes to the preservation and progression of our entire population. Another specialty we were graced with is our intuition. A woman's intuition is an extension of her root chakra, which houses our womb. This is the source of having a literal "gut feeling" about a person or a situation. We receive these messages in real time and I can always guarantee truth never being absent from whatever's revealed.

I also believe that intuition is a channel of direct communication with God. I'm sure you can recall a time when you may have asked God to show you a sign and more often than not is it a literal knot that forms in our stomachs when we have a good or not so good feeling. Yet we often ignore these intuitive indications once we actually get them. You're probably thinking of an ex that may have stuck around longer than they should have due to their many red flags being ignored; a downside to having free will. But the way our intuitiveness influences our perspective is through trust; once we begin trusting ourselves and trusting God.

Listening to our intuition is a form of submissive control. It's trusting that once you let go, you've made the right decision. This is the moment we're able to let our guard down and allow ourselves to be properly guided towards peace and well-being. Sometimes our power comes from deciding when to take a step back and trusting in that decision to move us forward.

Our Call to Action

This is our "sign" to tap in and become more spiritually grounded. In a world that often pulls us in various directions, it is essential to take a moment to pause and reflect on our inner selves. To truly connect with our spiritual essence, we must train our mind, body, and soul to recognize our inherent caliber and learn to flex it in our daily lives. This process involves cultivating mindfulness and awareness, allowing us to dive deep into our thoughts and emotions, and understand our true purpose.

Our spirituality, which encompasses our beliefs, values, and connections to something greater than ourselves, plays a crucial role in shaping our perspectives. It serves as a guiding force, helping us navigate life's challenges with grace and resilience. Alongside our spirituality, our intuitive reasoning acts as a powerful tool, enabling us to make decisions that align with our true selves. Together, these elements form the backbone of our perspective, influencing how we perceive the world around us and interact with others.

In summary, this is once again a call to action, inviting us to engage with our spiritual selves and harness the power of love and intuition. By doing so, we can achieve a greater sense of harmony and fulfillment in our lives, ultimately leading us to a more enlightened state of being.
